Natasha Koutnik is entering her inaugural year as a member of
the University of North Georgia Athletic Communications staff where
she will serve as the Athletic Communications Assistant. She
will provide necessary resource support for the communication of
the University of North Georgia’s 12 intercollegiate athletic
programs to both the local and national communities.
Koutnik will assist with managing the daily operations of the department’s website (UNGAthletics.com) to include assisting with writing, editing, and updating its content, game day coverage at the site of competition which includes providing all resources necessary for game coverage and administration.
She will provide oversight for the development and graphic design of all departmental publications, images and social media sites as well as serve as the lead producer of Nighthawk Vision - the department's portal of live statistics, live video and live audio.
The native of South Africa graduated from University of North Georgia in 2010 with a degree in Art Marketing with studio focus in Graphic Design and Photography. Since graduating from the Dahlonega campus, Koutnik has been a graphic designer for her own company Creative Bits, LLC.
While at North Georgia, Koutnik was a standout member of the softball program where she was a four-year letter winner at the catcher position from 2006-2011. She was selected to the 2009 South Atlantic Regional All-Tournament team and was part of a program that won 51 consecutive games and made two appearances in the NCAA Division II College World Series.
Koutnik was a three-time Dean’s List member and capped a stellar student-athlete experience by being named to the 2010 Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll.
She carries a professional membership in College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Koutnik married her husband Phillip in November of 2013 and the couple resides in Kennesaw.
