Andew Jakiel enters his first year as
a member of the University of North Georgia Athletic Training staff
following a one-year stint as a graduate assistant at California
University of Pennsylvania. At UNG, he provides specific coverage
for men's soccer, both tennis teams and the military component.
Prior to his graduate assistant work, Jakiel served a three-year term as the assistant athletic trainer at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Penn. where he provided medical coverage of athletic events at Mercyhurst North East College.
Jakiel is a graduate of the University of Mount Union where he was a four-year student athletic trainer where he covered sports at the NCAA Division III school as well as nearby Alliance High School. The Williamsville, N.Y. native would move on to earn his Masters of Science in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania in 2013.
He carries professional memberships in the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and the Georgia Athletic Trainers's Association.
