Damon Stancil is in his third season as a graduate assistant coach under Leigh Anne Hunter with the University of North Georgia.

Stancil assists with the everyday operations of the women’s golf program, including swing instruction and course management, practice organization and oversight, NCAA compliance, recruiting and tournament travel. Stancil also assists men's coach Tom Fowler with the men’s golf team.

Since 2005, Stancil has been a teaching professional at Hampton Golf Village in Cumming, Ga. where he works with golfers ranging from beginners to mini-tour players including the North Forsyth High School Boys and Girls teams.

Stancil played collegiately for the Berry College Vikings golf team (1997-99) and was a member of the team that won the 1998 NAIA National Championship. He graduated in 1999 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Fitness Administration. He is currently pursuing a Master’s of Arts inTeaching: HPE and is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor’s Society.

Damon and his wife Patty live in Gainesville, Ga. with their two children Jackson and Roxanne.
