Ali Cline Tabbed as Moe's Athlete of the Week

DAHLONEGA, GA - Ali Cline has been named the Moe’s Southwest Grill North Georgia Athlete of the Week after leading the Lady Saints to a win in their only exhibition of the year last week announced this afternoon by the Sports Information Office.

In the Lady Saints only tune-up for the 2009-10 season, redshirt freshman Ali Cline was the spark head coach Buffie Burson was looking for as the freshman scored a game-high 18 points on 7-12 shooting from the field to lead the club.

She had four rebounds, went a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe, and had four steals and no turnovers in only 21 minutes of action. After playing five games a year ago, Cline was given a medical redshirt and has returned in the middle to be force in the Lady Saints’ offense.

North Georgia will play their regular season opener Monday, November 16, with tip-off schedule for 5:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall.
