DAHLONEGA, GA - Janyce Ealey has been named the
Moe’s Southwest Grill North Georgia Athlete of the Week after
averaging 21 points in two games last week as the freshman carried
the Lady Saints to a pair of victories in the Chick-fil-A
Thanksgiving Classic on her way to being named the
tournament’s most valuable player.
Ealey recorded 19 points on 4-6 shooting from long range in the tournament opener against Kentucky Welseyan, before pouring in a career-high 23 points against Trevecca Nazarene to spark a comeback that saw the Lady Saints erase a 20-point deficit midway through the second half to come away with a five-point victory.
