DAHLONEGA, GA – North Georgia baseball assistant coach Trey Henson has accepted a position at Clarke Central High School as the baseball assistant head coach and quarterback coach for the football team.
Henson spent two years as a graduate assistant under Tom Cantrell at North Georgia, assisting in the everyday operations of the baseball program. His duties included working with the infielders, field maintenance and camp operations, while also heading up the strength and conditioning program for the team.
A native of Athens, Georgia Henson is a three-sport letter winner in baseball, football, and golf at Clarke Central High School. While there, he broke the school record for season doubles (14) and career doubles (39).
Trey was part of the 2004 College World Series with the University of Georgia. Henson was also a part of the 2005 NGCSU SSAC Championship team with a 57-15 record. In 2006, he was a student assistant for the Bulldogs when they went to the World Series.
Henson graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Health/Physical Education, and will receive his Master's Degree in Health and Physical Education from North Georgia in August.
