DAHLONEGA, GA – Due to heavy storms
scheduled to reach Dahlonega tomorrow afternoon, North Georgia has
cancelled baseball and softball contests on Wednesday, March
Baseball was scheduled to play the University of Alabama-Huntsville at 2:00 p.m. in the final game of the two-game set, but will cancel the final game of the series. The two teams are still set to play Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. as the Peach Belt and Gulf South Conference clash.
The 3rd-ranked North Georgia softball team was scheduled to play Drury University, but the expected rain will give the Saints an extra day off before they host a trio of teams over the weekend in the 2009 Moe’s Classic. Augusta State, Flagler College, and Valdosta State will all make their way to Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium as the Saints will host their second tournament of the year.

Baseball will host nationally ranked Francis Marion University with a doubleheader on Saturday and single game on Sunday in Peach Belt Conference action, while the softball team will play a pair of games on Saturday and Sunday in the Moe’s Classic.
