Gibbs and Chedgy Named First-Team All-PBC

EVANS, GA - North Georgia's Terry Gibbs and Ben Chedgy were named Peach Belt First-Team All-Conference announced this afternoon at a ceremony in Evans, Georgia, the site of the PBC Tournament final four.

Both players were recognized at a luncheon for teams participating in the PBC Tournament final four which will take place tonight under the lights at Blanchard Woods Park just outside of Augusta.

Terry Gibbs was named PBC Offensive Player of the Week during the season as he led the Saints with 19 total points; recording eight goals and three assists on the season. He had four game-winning goals, 30 shots on goal, and was a perfect 1-1 in penalty kicks. Gibbs played in 17 games as a freshman, starting 14 of those and logging 1131 minutes.

Ben Chedgy led the Saints’ defense that recorded five shutouts on the season, and allowed fewer than 10 shots per game. The sophomore played in all 19 games, starting 18 of those as a defender. Chedgy logged 1437 minutes, more than any other position player on the team.

The pair of First-Team All-Conference performers will lead their team into battle tonight as they look to advance to the PBC Tournament Championship game of the first time in school history.
