TAMPA, Fla. – The North Georgia College & State men's soccer team will have to wait for another chance to finish what they started Thursday night as their match with the 10th-ranked University of Tampa has been postponed with the hopes of rescheduling on a later date.
The game, part of the Peach Belt – Sunshine Challenge, was started Thursday night but had to be stopped 64 minutes into the 90-minute regulation due to inclement weather and lightning around Tampa. The two teams were tied 0-0 when play was suspended.
Both sides have agreed to the suspension of the game and will work to determine if a make-up time and location can be worked out in their already busy schedules.
North Georgia will next play Eckerd on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 5:00 p.m. before opening up a two-game homestand.
