DAHLONEGA, Ga. - In an effort to continue to recruit some of the best talent possible, the University of North Georgia men's and women's soccer teams are preparing to host the first of two prospect day camps on Saturday, May 4. The camp gives both the men's and women's soccer staffs the opportunity to work with prospective recruits while also giving those in attendance the opportunity to train for a day with successful college coaches.
The camp will be held at the UNG Soccer Complex and will last from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. with registration beginning at 9:00. The cost for the day camp is $100 per participant.
Following registration, an introduction and warm up will take place starting at 9:30 before the coaches hold a training session. The camp will then break for lunch from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m.; campers are responsible for their own lunch.
Following lunch, a tour of the UNG campus will be provided from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 with games between the participants starting at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The games will give participants the chance to showcase their skills for the coaching staffs.
Before everything concludes, head men's coach Pat Parris and head women's coach Chris Adams will hold a question and answer session from 4:00 p.m. until 4:30 where prospects are encouraged to ask questions about the recruitment process as well as other information regarding playing at the collegiate level.
