Saints Blank Hurricanes, Advance in PBC Tourney

JONESBORO, GA – The North Georgia College & State University men’s tennis team advanced to the second round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Friday afternoon, defeating Georgia Southwestern 5-0 at the Clayton County Tennis Complex.

The Saints improve to 6-13 overall and move on to play top-seeded Georgia College & State University on Saturday afternoon with first serve set for 11:30 a.m. The Hurricanes end the season at 5-13.

North Georgia swept all three tightly contested doubles matches, stealing one and three doubles 9-7, while taking number two doubles 8-4. The Saints then clinched the match in singles play as Grant Partrick and Adrien Saulais picked up victories in straight set to seal the 5-0 victory over the Hurricanes.
