Saints' Winning Streak Snapped by 3rd-Ranked Pirates

SAVANNAH, GA – The North Georgia men's tennis team lost their first conference contest of the season on Sunday afternoon falling 9-0 to 3rd-ranked and unbeaten Armstrong Atlantic at Beacon Park. 

The loss snaps a seven match winning streak for the Saints (7-2, 2-1 PBC), while No. 3 Armstrong (8-0, 3-0 PBC) shutout their third straight opponent.

In doubles action North Georgia mustered just seven points as they dropped the contests 8-2, 8-1 and 8-4. 

In singles action the Pirates outmatched the Saints as they trotted out four players ranked in the top 40 in the country. North Georgia lost all of the matches in straight sets.

The Saints return to action on March 8, when they host Southern Indiana at the North Georgia Tennis Complex. First serve is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
