MILLEDGEVILLE, GA – The North Georgia men's tennis team struggled on the road Monday afternoon, falling 8-1 at Georgia College at the Centennial Center Tennis Facility in Peach Belt Conference action.

The Saints (13-5, 3-4 PBC) have now lost three of their last four since being ranked for the first time in school history, while the Bobcats (8-7, 2-5 PBC) run their winning streak to three matches with the victory.

Matthew Guida and Rodrigo Magan picked up the only point for North Georgia at No. 2 doubles, taking down Kasper Konyves and Tyler Franks 8-5.

Felipe Friedrich and Mateus Camasmie were trying to stay hot at No. 1 doubles, but the 9th-ranked duo of Jerome Leborgne and Johan Wadstein pulled out an 8-3 victory.

Guida was the only North Georgia player to force a third set in singles action, blanking Leo Berardes 6-0 in the first set, before falling 6-0 and 6-4.

The Saints return to the courts on Wednesday afternoon, welcoming Carson-Newman to town for a non-conference battle. First serve against the Eagles is slated for 2:00 p.m. at the North Georgia Tennis Complex.
