McGuire Named World Series All-Tournament

DAHLONEGA, GA – North Georgia right fielder Courtney McGuire has been named to the NCAA Division II College World Series All-Tournament Team announced Monday afternoon following the National Championship game.

The senior from Atlanta, Ga., received an at-large selection to the World Series All-Tournament team, one of 14 members named to the squad. Hawaii Pacific’s Sherise Musquiz garnered MVP honors following her team’s victory in the National Championship game over Valdosta State Monday afternoon, broadcasted nationally on CBS College Sports.

In North Georgia’s three games in St. Joseph, Missouri, at Heritage Park, McGuire hit .400 with a home run, triple, and two runs batted in. She scored three runs and tallied hits in all three games, including the series opener where she launched a solo home run and blasted a triple down the right field line.
