DAHLONEGA, GA – The Sports Communications Office at North Georgia College & State University has announced that a live edition of North Georgia today will take place with tennis, softball, and baseball at Johnny B's on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m.
Head tennis coach Kent Norsworthy, head softball coach Mike Davenport, and head baseball coach Tom Cantrell will all make appearances, while selected players will also be in attendance to answer questions on the air.
Softball and women's tennis are both in action at home on Tuesday afternoon, so head on over to Johnny B's following the events for great food and listen to Voice of the Saints Rusty Brown as he breaks down the first two weeks of action for spring sports. Tennis, softball, and baseball are a combined 17-1 to start the season, with softball ranked No. 2 in the country, and baseball checking in as the No. 8 team in the land.
Softball is scheduled to take on Mars Hill in a doubleheader at 2:00 p.m., as the 2nd-ranked Saints are 7-0 heading into Tuesday's home opener at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium.
Women's Tennis is 2-0 to start the season, as they will battle local rival and NAIA Powerhouse Brenau University at the Yahoola Creek Tennis Complex at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
Baseball is back on the national scene with their 6-0 start to the 2011 campaign, jumping 14 spots in the latest poll to check in as the No. 8 team in the country. The top-10 ranking is the second best in school history as the Saints play host to Millersville over the weekend at Bob Stein Stadium.
