North Georgia Softball Hosting Individual and Prospect Camps

DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia softball program is inviting interested campers to take part in the 2012 Individual Camp and 2012 Prospect Camp in the coming weeks.

Camp Overview

Each camp is limited to the first 100 applicants ages 7-16. Campers will be divided by age groups for instruction and games. The fundamentals of throwing, fielding,hitting, and base running will be stressed. Camp instruction, drills, and games will take place at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium - Softball Complex on the beautiful North Georgia College & State University campus in Dahlonega, Georgia. Campers receive individual instruction in morning sessions and play games to showcase skills during afternoon sessions.

Individual Camp Dates
July 10 - 12, 2012

Day Camp Hours
Tuesday - 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday - 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Thursday - 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Check in
Tuesday from 8:00 am. - 9:30 a.m. at assigned dormitory

General Information

Overnight Campers
Fee: $325.00. An additional $35.00 (Cash only) refundable key deposit is required at time of check-in. (TUESDAY at 8:00-9:30 a.m.) $50 non-refundable deposit holds your space. Balance due two weeks before camp begins.

Overnight Campers reside in a dormitory, two in a room, dine, and play ball on the campus of NGCSU. Fees include meals (Tuesday lunch through Thursday lunch), housing, and t-shirt. Please mark camper's name on all items.

DO NOT BRING valuable items, including TV's, stereos, electronic game systems, jewelry, etc. NGCSU is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Day Campers
Fee: $225.00. $50 non-refundable deposit holds your space. Balance due two weeks prior.

Day Campers receive the same amount of training as overnight campers and will
also receive lunch meals.

The North Georgia College & State University Lady Saints Softball Camp provides appropriate, supervised training in the sport, with emphasis on improved fundamental skills and ability of each participant from ages 8-18. Campers receive small group instruction and play on organized teams, learning to incorporate individual skills into team play. All campers will be placed on a team according  to age and skill level so that each camper can gain as much experience as possible during competition throughout the week.

Prospect Camp Dates
July 17-18, 2012

All campers must complete and return the Sports Camp Liability & Medical Waiver Form as proof of a physical examination within the past school year (since August 2011). (This form must be returned two weeks before camp begins.)
