AUGUSTA, GA – Fresh off her seventh place finish at the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational, Catalina Olarte has been named the PBC Golfer of the Week.

The league office announced the new Thursday morning as Olarte shared the honors with Montevallo's Ashlee Beck.

The Manizales, Colombia, native shot a two-round total of 163 (83-80) to earn her third top 10 finish in six tournaments during her 2011-12 campaign.

The junior is the first member of the Lady Saints to earn the honor in the programs young three-year history.

Olarte is currently 14th in the PBC in stroke average and has more rounds played than anyone in the top 15.

Olarte has paced the Lady Saints throughout the fall and spring, being the team's low scorer in all six of their tournament.

Olarte and the Lady Saints return to the links in two weeks when they travel to nearby Columbus, Georgia, to take part in the CSU Lady Cougar Collegiate February 27-28.
