MONTEVALLO, AL – The North Georgia women's soccer team continued their perfect season on Saturday afternoon, using a pair of goals from Emily Dover to send the Lady Saints to a 2-1 victory at Varsity Field in Peach Belt Conference action.

Dover scored multiple goals for the second time this season and now has six goals in the last five games to take the team lead. She scored the game's first goal in the 28th minute when Kelsey Martin found the senior for a one-on-one with the keeper to give North Georgia the first-half advantage.

She connected again in the 65th minute when a Montevallo defender misplayed a clear and the Canton, Georgia, native cleaned up the mess and found the back of the net to double North Georgia's lead and make it 2-0.

The score in the 65th minute proved to be decisive later in the game when Montevallo's Christine Prince broke through and scored her fourth goal of the year with just 30 seconds remaining in regulation to pull the Falcons to within a goal. The ball was put back in play and North Georgia held on for the victory and improved to 4-1-1 all-time against Montevallo.

The game-winner by Dover sent North Georgia to 7-0 on the year and 3-0 in Peach Belt Conference action as the Lady Saints continue to extend the program's best start in school history. Chris Adams' squad remains the only unbeaten team in the PBC and the Southeast Region with the road victory.

Kirsten Ross (7-0) allowed her third goal of the year in a complete-game victory as the senior recorded six saves in all 90 minutes of action. Kaitlin Thomas suffered the loss for the Falcons, allowing both North Georgia goals and tallying four saves as she fell to 2-4 on the season.

North Georgia held a 16-12 advantage in shots and recorded four corner kicks to just two for the Falcons.

The Lady Saints return to action on Wednesday evening, traveling to Clayton State University for another Peach Belt Conference matchup. Kickoff against the Lakers is set for 5:00 p.m. North Georgia is 2-6-1 all-time against Clayton State.
