DAHLONEGA, GA – The 11th-ranked North Georgia women's soccer team put together their most convincing performance of the year against Flagler College, pouring in three first-half goals to take down the visiting Saints 4-0 in Peach Belt Conference action.

North Georgia continues their tear through the league, improving to 10-0 on the year and 5-0 in the Peach Belt Conference to keep a strong hold on the top spot in the league standings. Flagler's mid-season struggles continue, as they drop their third straight game and fall back to .500 at 6-6 on the year and drop to 2-3 in league action.

With the top two scorers in the league going head-to-head, North Georgia's Emily Dover proved she belonged with the elite players in the country when she broke through in the 33rd minute with a header off a corner from Taylor Lee to record her Peach Belt-leading ninth goal of the year.

Dover was at it again in the 60th minute when she took a deflection in the box and fired a laser shot inside the right post to score her second goal of the game and 10th of the year. The score was her third multiple goal game of the year and gave her six goals in the last four contests.

Kelsey Martin jump-started the offense early on when Melanie Thompson played a perfect through ball and Martin fired a shot past Flagler goalkeeper Cristina Coca to record her third goal of the year and give the Lady Saints an early advantage.

Kayla Croom made her collegiate debut in the scoring line in the 39th minute when Kelly Penston led Croom nicely and the freshman found herself one-on-one with the keeper and did not disappoint, finding the back of the net to cap the first half scoring for North Georgia.

Lindsey Zullo had a chance to get Flagler on the board in the 85th minute on a penalty kick, but the junior smoked the PK off the right post and North Georgia cleared the rebound out for a corner kick.

That would be the last chance for the visiting Saints as North Georgia held on for the 4-0 victory. Alex Dunlap picked up a shutout in her first career start, stopping both shots on target and not allowing a goal in all 90 minutes of action.

North Georgia rolls through their PBC slate as they remain unbeaten and continue their best start in school history. The Lady Saints are the only unbeaten team remaining in the Southeast Region and look to grab a top 10 ranking in next week's NSCAA Division II National Rankings.

The Lady Saints return to action next Wednesday evening, traveling to Columbus State for another Peach Belt Conference showdown on the road. The in-state rivals are slated to kickoff at 6:00 p.m. at the Walden Soccer Complex.
