HARKERSVILLE, SC - The North Georgia women's tennis team won their second straight contest to open the season on Wednesday afternoon, holding on to beat Coker 5-4 at the Coker Tennis Courts.
The Lady Saints (2-0) open the season with consecutive wins for the second straight year as they handed Coker (1-1) their first loss of the season.
North Georgia swept doubles action and won two of the six singles matches to escape with the 5-4 victory.
In doubles action, Natalia Escobar and Juliana Moscoco-Chiang held on to win for a thrilling 9-8 (14-12) victory over Alyssa Blanchard and Stephanie Medley at No. 1 doubles.
