Lady Saints Fall 9-0 to NAIA Powerhouse Brenau

GAINESVILLE, GA – The North Georgia women's tennis team dropped their first contest of the year on Wednesday afternoon falling 9-0 to Brenau at The Brenau University Tennis Courts.

The Golden Tigers (2-0) won their second straight match and ended the Lady Saints (4-1) four match winning streak to open the season. 

The Lady Saints didn't win a single match for the first time since April 3, last year at Armstrong Atlantic in Peach Belt Conference play.

In doubles action, Nela Handac and Maria V Casseres dropped a 9-7 thriller. 

In singles action, the lady Saints lost all their matches in straight sets.

The Lady Saints look to bounce back on Saturday when they host Stillman College in their home opener. First serve is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the North Georgia Tennis Complex.
