Randolph Selected as Moe's Athlete of the Week
DAHLONEGA, GA – Whitney Randolph has been
named the Moe’s Southwest Grill North Georgia Athlete of the
Week after leading the Lady Saints to a pair of wins last week, the
Sports Information office announced Wednesday afternoon
Whitney Randolph led North Georgia in a pair of Peach Belt
Conference games last week, averaging 19.5 points and eight
rebounds per game as the Lady Saints extended their current winning
streak to three games.
Randolph started the week at Flagler and scored a game-high 17
points on 6-12 shooting from the field as North Georgia came away
with the eight-point victory.
The senior from Gainesville, Ga., then scored a game-high 22
points at Armstrong Atlantic two days later while adding 11
rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season.
She has scored in double figures in nine straight games, and has
score 20 or more points in five of those contest. Randolph is
currently second in the league in points per game at 17.7, and sits
third in the conference with 9.3 rebounds per contest.
North Georgia returns to action on Wednesday evening, hitting the
road once again for another road contest, this time on the campus
of Georgia College & State University at the Centennial Center,
before returning home to take on rival Columbus State on Saturday
afternoon in Memorial Hall.
