Sports Communications Home Page | Mission Statement
SPORTS COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE: The North Georgia sports
communications office is located on the bottom floor of Memorial
Hall Gymnasium in Room 002. Enter through the front doors of
the gymnasium and take the glass door to the bottom floor, located
directly in front you. The sports communications office is
the first door on your left as you exit the stairwell.
PRESS CREDENTIALS: Press and photograph credentials are
issued to members of the working media only. These credentials may
be obtained by contacting the sports communications office. Request
should be made 24 hours before the desired event to be guaranteed
consideration. In most cases, credentials will be left at will
call, but can be mailed upon request.
Working members of the media who plan to cover North Georgia
athletics on the road should make credential requests through the
sports communication office of the host institution.
MEDIA GUIDES: 2010-11 North Georgia Media Guides have been specifically designed to aid members of the media covering the Saints and Lady Saints. We appreciate your coverage and if there is anything we can do to assist you, please do not hesitate to contact the sports communications office. The athletic department has certain policies and procedures that we ask for you to abide by while covering North Georgia Athletics. These are for the benefit of your needs and those of the student-athletes and coaches. We ask that you please respect these requests in order to create a good working atmosphere for all parties involved.
GAME NOTES: A set of game notes regarding North Georgia Athletics is generally made available 24 hours before each contest. A copy of these notes will be placed on the North Georgia website and will be available on site upon request.
PARKING: Game day
media parking is available in a media-designated lot. Parking
credentials should be requested at the same time game-day working
credentials are requested.
POSTGAME SERVICES: Play-by-play, final
statistics, and a quotes sheet will be available approximately
10-15 minutes after the conclusion of each game. Postgame
interviews will be conducted 15 minutes after the conclusion of
each contest in the appointed media room.
PRACTICES: Practices are generally open to the media with
several guidelines that we ask you to to strictly adhere to. Media
members must obtain permission to video or photograph practice in
advance. Media may not listen to or be in the area of any pre- or
post-practice talks between coaches, players, and personnel. These
comments, if overheard, are off the record. Players and coaches may
not be approached during practice. Reporters may ask the sports
communications staff about injuries, but all interviews with
training staff, coaches, and players must be done following
practice. Photographers are welcome to shoot practice, but must not
interfere with practice in any way.
INTERVIEWS: All interviews with players and coaches must
be arranged through the sports communications office. North Georgia
head coaches are generally accessible to members of the media and
the best time to reach them is from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in
their offices, which are located in Memorial Hall. Please
notify the sports communications office before stopping by to
interview players or coaches.
