Margaret Poitevint is in her fifth
year as Faculty Athletics Representative for the Department of
Athletics. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of
Mathematics & Computer Science, teaching math education and
college algebra courses. She has taught at North Georgia since
2000.
Poitevint received a BS in Mathematics from Georgia Southern
University, and also completed Master's and Ed.S. degrees at
Georgia Southern. She has taught math at all levels, from
middle school through college. In addition to her teaching
and athletics association duties, Margaret also serves as faculty
advisor to Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, is on the Board of Directors
for Wesley Campus Ministry and is active in several other campus
committees and organizations.
She and her husband, Bill, live in Dahlonega. They have two
children: Megan, 26, and Molly, 24.
