2008 (As a Junior) – Played in nine games, four as a starter…hit .375 with six hits and four runs batted in, including a double and a triple…walked four times and had a .500 on base percentage in 16 plate appearances.

Previous School – Played two seasons at Truett McConnell College for head coach Jim Waits...recorded a .323 batting average with five homeruns and 58 runs batted in during junior college career...recorded a .301 batting average with three homeruns and 27 runs batted in during sophomore season.

High School – Played four years at Duluth High School for head coach Bobby Link...received Coaches Award during senior season...recorded a .333 batting average with two homeruns and 21 runs batted in during prep career...recorded a .312 batting average with two homeruns and 16 runs batted in during senior season.

Personal – Son of Claudia and Brent Book...has one brother, Brandon...majoring in Exercise Science.
