AUGUSTA, GA – North Georgia College &
State University’s Jordan Erisman has been named the Peach
Belt Conference Freshman of the Week announced this afternoon by
the league office. Erisman becomes just the second repeat winner of
the award this season.
Erisman hit .385 with a double, two home runs and four RBIs, all in a three-game series with Armstrong Atlantic State. He went 3-for-5 in the series finale with a double, a home run and three RBIs. The shortstop collected hits in all three games and did not commit an error in 19 chances. He also scored five runs, stole a base and had only one strikeout in 13 at-bats with a .923 slugging percentage.
The freshman is currently hitting .333 with seven home runs, 25 runs batted in and nine doubles. Erisman is one of only three players to start all 43 games for the Saints as the Lawrenceville, Ga. native, has an on-base percentage of .410 with 41 runs scored.
