DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia
baseball team has moved up four spots to #13 in the nation in the
latest 2009 Collegiate Baseball Magazine Division II Poll released
this afternoon.
The Saints (5-3) are coming off a three-game sweep of Mars Hill
over the weekend and will look to win their fourth straight game
Tuesday afternoon as they host Southern Poly at 3:00 p.m.
North Georgia is the highest ranked Peach Belt team in the poll,
with Lander University coming in at #22, and GCSU falling nine
spots to #27.
Head Coach Tom Cantrell and the 13th-ranked Saints travel to USC
Aiken this weekend as North Georgia opens conference action against
the Pacers with a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on
Sunday afternoon.
