DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia College
& State University baseball program is set to host the second
annual Baseball Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 22, 2009, to
help fund the 2010 season.
The North Georgia Baseball Golf Tournament will be held on
Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Château Élan in
Braselton, Georgia, on the Woodlands Course.
Entry fee for the tournament will be $500 per team or $125 per
golfer. The course will be closed to outside business with
breakfast and lunch being provided at the event.
Check-in will be from 7:45 to 8:45 AM. The tournament will begin
at 9:00 AM sharp with a four-man scramble. You may choose your team
before prior to the tournament or you will be paired by
handicaps.
Prizes will be awarded for (1) closest to the pin on a designated
par three and (2) the longest drive on a designated par five.
A course that will challenge your skills, The Woodlands Course is
one of four world-class golf courses at Château Élan
that will satisfy the professional or amateur golfer.
In 2009, the Saints finished the season with a record of 34-24
overall and in fourth place in the Peach Belt Conference with a
record of 15-12 in the league. North Georgia finished the year
winning 10 of their last 12 games and advanced to the PBC
Tournament Championships game, coming up short in the title game in
search back-to-back tournament championships.
