CARROLLTON, GA - The North Georgia baseball team extended their current winning streak to four games on Tuesday evening, traveling to nearby West Georgia and using a three-run ninth inning to seal a come-from-behind 7-3 victory over the Wolves at Cole Field in non-conference action.

The Saints improve to 20-8 overall on the season, while West Georgia falls to eight games under the .500 mark at 10-18 on the year. These same two teams will meet at Bob Stein Stadium on Wednesday, April 21, with first pitch set for 5:00 p.m. in Dahlonega.

North Georgia jumped on top in the opening inning as Jordan Erisman lined a one-out double to center field, and Andre Airich followed with a double of his own, sending Erisman to the plate for the first run of the game.

The Saints were at it again in the third inning as Erisman and Airich once again notched back-to-back hits, this time singles before Kenny Bellavance guided a single through the left side, plating another run to give North Georgia a 2-0 advantage.

West Georgia got right back in the game in the bottom half of the third, scoring a trio of runs on just two hits as Michael Hornsby brought the first run of the inning home on a bases loaded groundout to the shortstop, bringing Bradford Mattix racing home to cut the Saints' lead in half at 2-1. The Wolves would then capitalize on wild pitches to back-to-back batters as West Georgia grabbed their first lead of the game at 3-2.

The Saints would knot the score at three runs apiece in the sixth inning as Airich grounded out to drive in his second run of the day, and Craig Brisson came up with a clutch double in the eighth inning to send Daniel Petitti home to score and give North Georgia the lead once again at 4-3.

Troy Snitker tallied an insurance run in the ninth with a single up the middle to send Davy Wallach home, and Denver Stovall made the most of his last at-bat of the game, belting a home run down the left field line, a two run shot to give the Saints all the runs they would need in a 7-3 road victory.

Michael Patton tossed 3.0 innings and allowed three hits and all three West Georgia runs, while Andrew Wallace came out of the pen to pick up his first victory of the season in 4.0 innings of action. Jacob Rickett was credited with his sixth save of the season, recording four strikeouts over the final 2.0 innings and not allowing a hit.

North Georgia is now 8-2 in road games this season, while posting a 6-1 mark in road games against non-conference schools. The Saints now welcome Lander University to town for a weekend series, a team that is fresh off their first three-game conference sweep since the 2007 season.

The Bearcats handed Armstrong Atlantic a trio of defeats over the weekend and will travel to Dahlonega for a primetime 7:00 p.m. game on Friday evening, before a doubleheader is slated for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
