Soccer Against GSW Moved Up To Tuesday
DAHLONEGA, GA – Due to another day of heavy
rain and thunderstorms expected on Wednesday afternoon, North
Georgia’s soccer doubleheader against Georgia Southwestern
has been moved up a day and will be played Tuesday afternoon at the
Soccer Complex.
The women will kick things off at 1:00 p.m. as they play one of
six games hosted around the conference to raise money and awareness
for Breast Cancer. The Hurricanes and Lady Saints will battle with
pink Select soccer balls as October is National Breast Cancer
Awareness Month.
At 3:30 p.m., the men will take to the field for an all-important
Peach Belt Conference game as the Saints and Hurricanes battle for
a playoff spot in the upcoming PBC Tournament. Both teams will be
looking for their first league victory of the season as North
Georgia and Georgia Southwestern tangle for the eighth time in
school history, with the Saints looking to stay perfect against the
Hurricanes.
Make sure to be in attendance for the first Peach Belt Conference
doubleheader at the Soccer Complex in 2009. Single-game tickets are
available at the gate for adults ($5) and students ($3). All
North Georgia faculty and students with a valid ID will be admitted
free.
