AMERICUS, GA – North Georgia renewed an
old rivalry Wednesday evening, traveling to Georgia Southwestern
State University and pulling away late for an 82-75 victory at the
Storm Dome in Peach Belt Conference action.
North Georgia puts a stop to a three-game skid and improves to 9-7
overall and 3-7 in the PBC, while the Hurricanes fall to 7-11 and
3-8 in the conference.
Junior Michael Moynihan paced four North Georgia players in double

Morgan and LaBrian Lyons tallied 12 points apiece, while Brody
Langston chipped in 10 and Xavier Trice added nine.
The Hurricanes held their last lead of the game at 71-70 with 4:24

capped by a free throw from Moynihan to send North Georgia to
another road victory.
North Georgia was a solid 45.8 percent from the field, 46.7
percent from behind the arc, and 70 percent from the charity
stripe. The Saints held the Hurricanes to just 26.7 percent from

crowd is expected to turn out as the Patriots roll into town for
