The Saints followed up an opening round 304 with a 311 to sit in 9th place just one shot ahead of 10th place Montevallo and two shots ahead of last place Lander.
UNC Pembroke is the overall leader after the opening round, firing a 288 in the opening round and a 291 in the second round to hold a three shot lead over USC Aiken. Georgia College is third and just five shots off the lead, while Georgia Southwestern came on strong in round two and sits six strokes off the lead.
Freshman Will Brackett was the low scorer for North Georgia, following up a first round 75 with a six-over-par 78 to sit in a tie for 33rd place heading into the final round. In his opening round Brackett started off on the back nine bogeying the 10th. After recording six straight pars Brackett knocked in the lone birdie in his opening round on the par 3 17th. In his second round Brackett birdied the par 5 11th and the par 5 sixth.
Rish followed up an opening round 75 with a seven-over-par 79. The Port St. Joe, Florida, native birdied the par 5 16th and the par 4 first en route to a three-over-par opening round. However, Rish got off to a slow start in his second round as bogeyed the first two holes. Rish struggled to find his momentum and recorded just one birdie during round two.
George followed in Rish's footsteps shooting a 75 in the opening round and a 79 in round two. Fresh off his victory at the North Georgia Spring Invite, George birdied two holes on his opening nine and pared out the last nine holes heading into round two. George recorded four straight pars in round two before running into trouble bogeying the 14th and triple bogeying the 15th. George recorded one birdie in his second round.
In his last tournament as a Saint, Duffin was level par the first four holes he played before bogeying three of last four on his front nine. Duffin gained a head of steam recording back-to-back birdies before scoring bogey or worse on four of his last five holes. Duffin's up-and-down play continued in the second round as he recorded five birdies and six bogeys.
Also in his last tournament as a Saint Matt Rochlin followed up an opening round 83 with an 85 to sit in sole possession of 55th place. Rochlin recorded two birdies and was the lone member of the Saints to record an eagle, but he struggled down the stretch as he bogeyed each of the last five holes. Rochlin struggled to gain momentum in round two as he recorded 11 bogeys.
The Saints wrap up their season and the 2012 Peach Belt Conference Tournament tomorrow, April 10.
