Dahlonega, GA – North Georgia College
& State University played to a tie at the half, but the
Tornados of Bravard College used a late goal to deny the Saints
their first home win of the season, taking a 2-1 victory Tuesday
evening at the Soccer Complex.
Brevard (3-9-1) got on the board first in the 17th minute as Henri Erti took a pass from Jusse Halonen in the box and sent a shot past a diving Rade Tanaskovic to give the Tornados a 1-0 lead.
The Saints would answer right back however, scoring 20-seconds later on a Terry Gibbs goal to tie the game. Bradley Rose tallied the assist for North Georgia as the game went into the half knotted at a goal apiece.
The game remained tied until the 83rd minute when Jussi Halonen dribbled past a pair of North Georgia defenders and sent a shot inside the left post to give Brevard a 2-1 advantage, a lead they would never relinquish.
