Rade Tanaskovic Named to NSCAA All-Region Team
DAHLONEGA, GA – North Georgia men’s
soccer goalkeeper Rade Tanaskovic continued to garner postseason
honors last month when the standout was named to the 2009 NSCAA
Division II All-Southeast Region team, earning third-team
honors.
The hype for Tanaskovic’s sophomore season started in August
when the returning star earned Peach Belt Preseason All-conference
honors, before another standout season placed the second-year
player on the Peach Belt Second-Team All-Conference squad last
month.
The Barzilovica, Serbia, native played in 12 games for the Saints
in 2009, recording three shutouts and a goals against average of
1.30 to rank sixth in the Peach Belt Conference. The sophomore was
second in the league with a .773 save percentage, while sitting
fourth in the conference with 51 total saves.
The Saints finished the 2009 season with a record of 5-11-1
overall and 1-6-1 in the Peach Belt Conference, entering the PBC
Tournament as the #8 seed before falling 1-0 to top-seeded Flagler
College in the opening round.
