Three UNG Soccer Players Honored On PBC All-Academic Teams
MARTINEZ, Georgia – (UNGAthletics.com) - The Peach Belt Conference released the men's and women's soccer All-Academic teams from the conference office in Augusta with a trio of UNG student-athletes making the grade. Milorad Bozickovic and Alexandro Martinez garnered the honor on the men's side while Megan Morrow was named to the women's team.
Bozickovic boasts a 3.48 GPA as a Business and Management major and appeared in 12 matches, including five starts for head coach Patrice Paris' squad. Martinez carries a 3.44 GPA as a Physics major and started all 12 matches in which he saw action collecting a goal and an assist on the year.
Morrow, who was voted as a Capital One All-District Academic earlier this season, carries a 3.64 cumulative GPA as a Biology major. This season she scored a pair of goals to go along with five assists while anchoring a Nighthawk defense that recorded eight shutouts on the season. Her tally in UNG's 2-0 victory over Flagler on Oct. 26 was the game-winner and helped the junior garner the league's Defender of the Week honor two days later.
Additionally, Shannon Coloumbe and Kayla Croom were honored as Honorable Mention selections on the women's side.
The team is part of a season-long program recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of PBC student-athletes in the classroom as well as on the field.
