Brandon Kirksey comes to North Georgia with a good amount of both coaching and playing experience. He will be the goalkeeping coach this season for the Saints men’ssoccer team.

Kirksey played two highly successful seasons at North Georgia before pursuing his professional soccer career as a goalkeeper. While playing for the Saints, Kirksey played in 35 games on his way to earning Peach Belt 1st Team honors along with Peach Belt All-Tournament honors. Kirksey holds the North Georgia All-Time records for shutouts in a season (8), saves in a season (94) and saves in a single game (14).

Coaching Career: Chicago Fire juniors, Lone Star Soccer Club, National Y and D coaching license

Professional Career: Austin Aztex (USL), Iskenderunspor (Turkish 2nd), Giresunspor (Turkish 2nd), Vitesse Arnhem (Dutch PL); also played two seasons at Campbell University

Personal: A graduate of North Georgia in 2008, Kirksey is originally from Jackson, Mississippi, and will work the talented trio of goalkeepers for the Saints in 2011.
