Matt Muia enrolled at North Georgia in the summer of 2005 after
graduating from Cedar Shoals High School in his hometown of Athens,
Georgia. While at Cedar Shoals Matt was a nine-time letter winner
with 4 in soccer, 4 in football, and 1 in wrestling. Matt earned
All-North East Georgia honors in soccer and football in 2003-04-05,
and was named MVP of the Men’s Soccer Team in 2004 and
2005.
As a student-athlete at North Georgia, Matt was a member of the
Men’s Soccer Team during the fall 2005 season. Since then he
has remained close to the sport through coaching summer camps and
adult leagues.
Matt’s coaching experience includes being a Soccer Camp
Counselor at North Georgia for NGCSU Head Woman’s Coach Chris
Adams, and three summers at The University of Georgia Soccer Camp
under UGA’s Head Women’s Coach, Patrick Baker,
Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year. Matt also holds a
USSF National ‘D’ License that he received this past
spring.
Matt is entering his fourth year at North Georgia in pursuit of a
degree in Physical Education with a Leadership minor.
