Brevard, NC – The North Georgia College
& State University men’s tennis team competed at the
Brevard Mountain Invitation over the weekend with impressive
finishes in singles and doubles.
The Tournament, hostest by Brevard College consisted of
Carson-Newman, Pfeiffer University, Brevard College, and North
Georgia.
The men started the weekend on Friday afternoon with doubles
action as the Saints dominated, going 8-1 against the three
schools. Santiago Carballal and Luciano Neto went a perfect 3-0,
while Daniel Aguilon and Sam Moore also went undefeated with a trio
of victories. Grant Partrick and Adrien Saulais went 2-1, handling
Carson-Newman and Brevard College 8-3 in each match, before falling
for the team’s only doubles defeat.
In singles action, Partrick and Aguilon went a perfect 3-0 in
impressive fashion, while Moore and Neto went 2-1. Saulais finished
singles play at 1-2, while Carballal ended at 0-3.
