DAHLONEGA, GA
– The North Georgia men’s tennis team picked up their
first victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, playing host to
the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern and coming away with the 5-4
win in Peach Belt Conference action.
The Saints break into the win column at 1-6 overall on the season
and 1-1 in Peach Belt Conference play, while the Hurricanes call to
3-5 overall and 0-3 in league action.
North Georgia grabbed a pair of points in doubles action, taking a
2-1 lead into singles play where the Saints picked up three more
points to clinch the win.
The Saints return to action on Sunday afternoon, playing host to
8th-ranked Columbus State University in another Peach Belt
Conference match. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. against the
Cougars at the NGCSU Tennis Complex.
