North Georgia Rifle Team to Hold Open Tryouts
DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia
intercollegiate rifle team is holding open tryouts on September 11,
2009, head coach JP O’Connor announced on Thursday
afternoon.
The team includes male and female students, both cadet and
civilian. Tryouts are open to all North Georgia undergraduate
students. Graduate students are invited to become Graduate
Assistants.
Signup and information meeting is at 4:00 pm on Friday, September
11, 2009 at the on-campus shooting range. The range is part of the
Military Leadership Center (MLC), at the end of the building
farthest from the university’s main entrance. The range
entrance is across the street from Dairy Queen on the end of the
MLC building facing Thompson Circle.
The rifle team is an NCAA Collegiate team and prior competitive
target shooting experience is required.
