NCAA Rifle National Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – (UNGAthletics.com) –
The University of North Georgia rifle team broke into the NCAA national rankings as the 20th ranked program as announced by the NCAA office on Tuesday.  The NCAA national ranking is the first ever for North Georgia.

The Nighthawks are one of only three non-Division I schools in the top-20 joining top-ranked Alaska-Fairbanks and fellow Peach Belt member Columbus State (17th).

"Breaking into the top-20 rankings was one of our team goals this year and I'm ecstatic that we were able to do so early in the season," stated head coach Tori Kostecki.  "This has been a strong season so far and I believe we will keep improving at every match."

The UNG rifle team returns to action on Saturday, November 9 when the team hosts a Southeastern Air Rifle Conference event at the COL Raymond C. Hamilton Rifle Range on the Dahlonega campus.
