DECATUR, GA – North Georgia only managed
one run Sunday afternoon, falling 3-1 at 22nd-ranked
Alabama-Huntsville on the final day of the 2009 UAH Charger
Chillout.
The Saints end the tournament 4-2 and move to 8-2 on the year,
while UAH remains perfect on the season at 6-0.
Beth Lawson put the Chargers on top in the third inning with a
double to right center to bring home two runs and give UAH a 2-0
lead.
The Saints threatened in the fifth inning and scored one run on a
wild pitch, but stranded two runners in scoring position.
Alabama-Huntsville added another run in the seventh and held for
the 3-1 victory to stay undefeated on the season.
Trisha Snider (4-1) suffered her first loss of the season,
allowing seven hits and three runs in 6.2 innings of work.
The Saints return to action Thursday afternoon, traveling to
Tusculum for a doubleheader with first pitch schedule for 2:00 p.m.
in Greenville, Tennessee.
