Softball Set to Depart Hartsfield Tuesday Morning
DAHLONEGA, GA – Travel arrangements have been
finalized as the North Georgia softball team prepares to compete in
the NCAA Division II National Championships this weekend in St.
Joseph, Missouri.
The team will load a charter bus Tuesday morning at 6:00 a.m.
outside Memorial Hall and make their way to Hartsfield-Jackson
Atlanta International Airport, arriving and unloading in the South
Terminal between 7:30-8:00 a.m.
North Georgia will board Delta flight 1163 en route to Kansas City,
Missouri, departing Atlanta at 10:45 Eastern Standard Time, and
arriving in Kansas City at 12:03 Central Standard Time.
Media members wishing to speak with players and coaches upon
arriving at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport should
contact Sports Information David Beall regarding meeting up with
the team before departure.
The Saints will have an early start on Wednesday morning as the
team is slotted for practice at 8:00 a.m. at Heritage Park. They
will have a full hour on the game field, and 60 minutes on a
practice field before taking part in community service in the
afternoon.
North Georgia will play the first game of the tournament on
Thursday at 12:00 pm. Central Standard Time, taking on the East
Super Regional winner Molloy College out of Rockville Centre, New
York.
