Softball To Hold 3rd Annual Day/Night Golf Tourney

DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia College
& State University Softball program is set to host the third
annual Softball Golf Tournament on Sunday, November 1, 2009, to
help fund the 2010 season.
The North Georgia Softball Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday
November 1, 2009, at Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Georgia.
Cost is $100 per player. The tournament will be a two-person
team scramble format. You can enter individually or as a team. All
teams will begin with a shotgun start beginning at 4:00pm. After 9
holes, each team will proceed to the banquet where they will eat
and get their assignment for the “Night Flight”.
The “Night Flight” will be given glow balls and will
be played in the dark. “Night Flight” is estimated to
begin around 8:00pm. (Estimated time 1 1/2 hour for “Night
Flight”.)
Prizes will be awarded for the closest to the pin on par 3’s
and long drives. We also hope to have a raffle open to all golfers
as well as anyone who purchases tickets. This has become a
tradition for the North Georgia Softball Program. Make sure you are
not left out, as this is limited to the first 60 golfers.
The Saints finished their historic season as the #3 team in the
nation with the program’s best winning percentage in school
history with a record of 50-5. North Georgia captured the Peach
Belt Conference Regular Season Championship, PBC Tournament
Championship, NCAA Southeast Dahlonega Regional Championship, and
the NCAA Southeast Super Regional Dahlonega Championship to advance
to their first-ever Division II College World Series.
