– The North Georgia softball doubleheader scheduled for
Tuesday afternoon against the University of West Georgia has been
postponed due to expected inclement weather.
The Saints were scheduled to play at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium for the second time in three days on Tuesday afternoon, playing host to in-state rival West Georgia, but with rain and snow on the way, the doubleheader has been postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday, March 24, with games set for 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
North Georgia (13-0) will take their unblemished record on the road this weekend to open Peach Belt Conference action. The Saints will take on Francis Marion in a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon before traveling to UNC Pembroke for a Sunday afternoon double dip.
The schedule will not get any easier from their as the #2 team in the country will return home for four straight games against two of the best teams in the country. The Saints will host 7th-ranked LeMoyne on March 9, for a pair of games before turning around to face top-ranked Alabama-Huntsville in a doubleheader on March 7.
