Mimi Hill Grabs Second Peach Belt Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player Of The Week Honor

MARTINEZ, Georgia – (UNGAthletics.com) – University of North Georgia women's basketball player Mimi Hill has been honored by the Peach Belt Conference as its AstroTurf Player of the Week.  The weekly accolade is the second of the season for the senior forward.

Hill was unstoppable in two games for the Nighthawks last week, averaging 30.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in two games.  She began with 30 points and 12 rebounds in a loss to Young Harris in a matchup of division leaders, shooting 59% (13-22) with three assists and two blocks. 

She followed that up with 31 points and 13 rebounds in a five-point road win at Columbus State.  The senior hit 10 of 18 shots in that contest and 11 of 13 free throws. 

The 30-point games were her fourth and fifth of the season.  For the week she added 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game. 

Hill continues to lead the PBC in scoring with 23.4 per game which is also in the top five nationally.  She is 12th in rebounding, eighth in field goal percentage and 11th in blocks.
