Lindsey Huffman is in her third season as an assistant coach for the North Georgia College & State University women's basketball team in 2011-12.
Huffman's main responsibility is
recruiting. Her other duties include: handling day-to-day
operations of the program, individual player development, and
assisting Burson in scouting and on-the-floor coaching.
Huffman played for Westminster College, a NAIA school in Salt Lake
City, Utah before transferring to North Georgia for her senior
year. There she was a member of the All-Frontier Conference team,
averaging 17.2 ppg, 6.5 assists & 3.5 rebounds pg. She recorded
her first double-double in 2004 versus Southern Oregon, finishing
with 17 points and 11 assists.
During her one year playing for the Lady Saints, Huffman ran the
point guard position, averaging 7.9 points and 1.5 rebounds per
game as North Georgia posted a record of 19-1 in the Peach Belt
Conference to claim the regular season championship.
Following her playing career, Huffman spent 2006-2008 as a
graduate assistant for North Georgia under Burson.
In 2008-2009 she took the assistant women’s basketball
coaching position at Roswell High School under Coach Lesley
Broadwell. In her one season at Roswell, the Lady Hornets claimed
the Region 6AAAAA Championship with an overall record of 22-7. At
Roswell, Huffman also taught as an assistant in the Special
Education department.
Huffman graduated from North Georgia with a B.S in Physical
Education in 2007 and a M.Ed in 2009. She is from Woodstock, GA
where she graduated from Etowah High School in 2001. There she was
a 5AAAAA all-region and all-state player and is currently
Etowah’s all-time leading scorer.
