Women's Golf 7th at St. Andrews Invitational
VASS, NC –
The North Georgia women’s golf team round out the field at
the St. Andrews Spring Invitational, coming in 7th in the field of
seven teams after the first round of the at the Woodlake Country
Club.
Belmont Abbey, ranked 7th nationally in NCAA D-II, carded a 25-over
313 on the par-72, 5,805-yard Palmer Course and has a comfortable
23-shot lead over the University of North Carolina at Pembroke
(336). North Georgia sits seventh with a 446.
Charley Whitmire led the team and is 20th place with a 21-over-par
93, while Brittany Kemp is in 21st a shot behind her teammate with
a 94. Courtney Hall is in 30th place with a 129, while Ariana
STamatiou is tied for 31st with a 130.
Play concludes with the final 18 holes on Sunday with a shotgun
start at 10:00 a.m. on the Palmer Course.
