the Peach Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week after
leading the Lady Saints to three more wins and the program's
first-ever national ranking.
Abrahart picks up her first-ever weekly award from the league office as the North Georgia is currently riding an eight-game winning streak and ranked 25th in the latest NSCAA/HendrickCars.Com Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday afternoon
Last week, the Duluth, Ga., native recorded two goals and two assists in three games as the Lady Saints continued to separate themselves as one of the best teams in the southeast.
She opened the week with her third two-goal game of the year, scoring twice in a victory over Clayton State. She scored the game's first goal in the 21st minute, tallied her second goal in the 65th minute, and capped her day with an assists in the 72nd minute to complete her third five-point game of the season.
She then came back and tallied another assists against 15th-ranked Florida Southern, a goal that turned out to be the game-winner as North Georgia upended their first ranked team of the season.
Abrahart currently leads the Peach Belt Conference with 22 points, is tied for the league lead in goals with 9, and the striker is sixth in the conference with four assists on the year.
She finds herself in a slew of offensive categories in the NCAA National Statistics, including 19th in the nation in points per game, 20th in goals per game, 14th in total goals, and 13th in total points.
Abrahart and the 25th-ranked Lady Saints return to action on Thursday afternoon, traveling to Anderson University for a 4:30 p.m. matchup with the Trojans in another key non-conference battle.
