for the second straight week announced by the
NSCAA/HendrickCars.Com Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll on Tuesday
The Lady Saints remain the 25th ranked team in the country after continuing their winning streak, which has now been extended to nine games, with their last defeat coming to Belmont Abbey over a month ago on Sept. 4. North Georgia now sits at 10-1 overall on the season and continues their best start in program history.
New York's Saint Rose remains unbeaten with a record of 13-0 and continues to top the Division II poll, while Central Missouri (10-0) stays put at the second spot for the second straight week. Grand Valley State in Michigan moves up one spot to third after adding two wins to their current six-game winning streak.
Rounding out the top five are California (Pa.) and Rollins (Fla.) with a record of 12-0-1 and 8-1-1 respectively, who both move up a spot after in-state rival Columbus State drops from 3rd to 12th overall.
Fellow Peach Belt Conference members, Armstrong Atlantic University and Columbus State remain in the poll as Armstrong Atlantic moves up one spot after defeating No. 3 Columbus State over the weekend, which dropped Columbus State into the 12th spot.
Belmont remains the 16th-ranked team in the country for the second straight week and the only blemish on North Georgia's schedule, while Florida Southern, moves up two spots 15th overall, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Lady Saints the first weekend in October.
The poll is home to five new teams as BYU-Hawaii (7-0-2) slips in the top 10 at No. 9, while Seattle Pacific (Wash.) debuts at 14th, C.W. Post (N.Y) is 17th, UC San Diego is 22nd, and Winona State rounds out the newcomers at 24th in the country.
North Georgia returns to action this evening, welcoming GCSU to town for a conference showdown. The Bobcats, fresh off now 7th-ranked Armstrong Atlantic, will look to upend their second-straight ranked team, while the Lady Saints however, have their sights set on 10 straight wins as kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. in Dahlonega.
